A North American SaaS provider of computer-aided-dispatch software for emergency-services agencies was modernizing its platform and needed a new embedded reporting tool — one that runs inside its web application, supports multi-agency role-scoped access driven by the platform's own authentication and lets end users generate, filter, print and export operational reports.
Solution
Cruz Street built an embedded analytics module using open-source Metabase wrapped in a React micro-frontend and embedded directly in the vendor's platform. Access is driven by the platform's own JWT authentication, so each agency's users see only their own data, and the module delivers report generation, filtering, PDF export and Excel export across the core report types, themed to match the product.
Results
Cruz Street delivered a working embedded reporting module — interactive dashboards with PDF and Excel export across the platform's core report types, integrated with the product's existing authentication and multi-agency structure — followed by a knowledge-transfer and documentation handover so the vendor's own team could operate and extend it.
